about

an independent, selective and morally ambigous detective agency

.  WHO WE ARE  .  A symposium of the evening tide, a composition in tribute to the shared sorrow upon the star; what is Nocturne? This is not a question quite easily explained. You see, those core at it's inception believed both in renewed dreams and a brighter horizon on their own murky prospects, but yet, there is no such thing as blindness to the dark. At it's core, Nocturne stands for one thing in absolution: though there may be macabre layers in which a problem might appear, it is never a loss if but one wrong is righted in the name of righteousness..  WHAT WE DO   .  Nocturne is the brainchild of some few adventurers who grew tired of pretending like injustices could be righted by mere goodwill alone. It is very much as it appears on the surface; a locale where those with deeper and darker problems that need solving might find some comradery and support. In having said that, patrons are welcome to bring their cases in for analysis. Our expert team in arcamania, aether, religion, espionage and combat will certainly be able to help tie the strings of fate together, or help point out flaws. In short, we are an anomaly in the realm of inquiry. We do not shy away from the dark, the detriment. We do not mince words around the nitty gritty, nor do we seek to mark a claim on the name of justice.

.  CASEWORK SUBMISSION   .  If you feel you have a particular case that would benefit from the aid of those who will not ask unnessesary questions nor interfere in your private affairs unless elected, then you've come to the right place. A case can be submitted in the Inquiries section of our portfolio, where it will be reviewed by management. If accepted, we will invite you for a brief consultation, where we can better determine how our team of experts can best help you. Any work done beyond this juncture is chargable by the hour (RP Gil, no actual money exchanges).Essentially, consider Nocturne your personal team of morally gray inquisitors. Our team would be more than willing to help you craft your storyline if it still has loose threads, or help you see it imagined via DMing, but you are welcome to lead your own stories as well..  OUR VOW  . We submit entirely to our contracts and ensure that all efforts on your behalf have been exhausted without measure. We also commit to seeing your case through to the end, no matter the cost or outlined risks associated..  OUR LOCATION  .  Nocturne HQ privately resides on the shores of Shirogane [Ward 2, Plot 33]

    blackjack

─── ⋆ ⭑ ⋆ ───RULESIn each round, players take turns clockwise. On a player's turn, they roll their four D6 to create a "hand." They can choose to stand (keep their current dice values) or roll again (similar to hitting in Blackjack) to improve their hand. After their rolls, players place a bet into the center of the table. They can choose to stand or roll again.Once all players have taken their turns and placed their bets, they reveal their hands.Players calculate the total value of their dice hand. The goal is to have a hand value as close to 21 as possible without going over.
The player with the hand closest to 21 without exceeding it wins the round. If two or more players tie with the same value, the player with the fewest rolls (hits) wins.
The winner of the round takes all the bets in the center.
Record the winner's name on the scorecard for that round.
    The scorecard is simple:
    1st place - 100 Respect Points
    2nd place - 50 Respect Points
    3rd place - 20 Respect Points
    4th place - 0 Respect Points
Repeat the process for the two rounds. After all rounds are completed, the player with the most respect points won is declared the overall winner.─── ⋆ ⭑ ⋆ ───

─── ⋆ ⭑ ⋆ ───RULESIn each round, players take turns clockwise. On a player's turn, they roll their four D6 to create a "hand." They have two chances to reroll any number of dice (similar to Poker's draw phase) to improve their hand. After their second roll, players place a bet into the center of the table. They can choose to fold (skip the round), call (match the current bet), or raise (increase the bet).Once all players have taken their turns and placed their bets, they reveal their hands. The player with the best poker hand wins the round. Here's a ranking of hands, from highest to lowest:Four of a Kind (e.g., four 5s)
    Full Straight (e.g., 1, 2, 3, 4)
    Three of a Kind (e.g., three 6s)
    Two Pair (e.g, two 2s, two 4s)
    Small Straight (e.g, 4, 5, 6)
    One Pair (e.g., two 4s)
High Card (the highest number rolled on a single die if no other hand is formed)
The winner of the round takes all the bets in the center.Record the winner's name on the scorecard for that round. The scorecard is simple:
    1st place - 100 Respect Points
    2nd place - 50 Respect Points
    3rd place - 20 Respect Points
